About the Optimist Essay Contest

The Optimist Essay Contest is a yearly event. The winners of this local competition have their essays sent to the district level of competition with the possibility of receiving a $2,500 scholarship. The theme of the essay for 2026 is "How My Acts of Service Help Me Understand What My Community Means to Me".  Essays are due January 21, 2026.
