About the Optimist Essay Contest

The Optimist Essay Contest is a yearly event. The winners of this local competition have their essays sent to the district level of competition with the possibility of receiving a $2,500 scholarship. The theme of the essay for 2027 will be announced in the fall of 2026.  Essays will be due in January 2027. More information can be found on the Optimist International website using the button above.
