About the Optimist Essay Contest

The Optimist Essay Contest is a yearly event. Our club hosts a local competition where first place receives $100, second receives $50, and third place receives $25. The winners of this local competition have their essays sent to the district level of competition with the possibility of receiving a $2,500 scholarship. The theme of the essay for 2025 will be announced in the fall.  Essays will be due February 1, 2025. More information can be found on the Optimist International website, linked above.
